Back in 2019 when COVID started, I set out to create a lashes business and beauty blog under the name BigWinkBeauty. Due to working 2 jobs and going to school full time, I came to understand my priorities limited the chances of really throwing myself into this business, before BWB could truly blossom and become a functioning brand.
Later on, I graduated school in May 2022 with a Cum Laude BA in Psychology and Minor in Women’s Studies. For the last 2 years I’ve worked in many fields but intended to pursue a Therapist role in the future. After a summer of working as a Behavioral Technician, I transitioned into a completely different field in a full time role. I’ve gained comfort in working but slowly realized that a 9-5 wasn’t the end all be all and my life’s passion started to bloom in front of me.
I knew that my passion involved speaking with others, being an advocate to issues that resonated with my experience as a woman, and giving other’s advice in seeking the truth about Women’s Health questions.
In 2023 many of the women (and men) in my family were in and out of the hospital stricken with a list medical diagnoses. This lead me into deep diving into learning about holistic preventative practices that women can use without spending so much money to hear the same advice from more medical professionals.
My wakeup call (a literal phone call with my mother) Questioned my life’s purpose and strengths which drew me back into the idea of creating a way to connect with other women about their experiences in Wellness, Beauty and Health.
Thus, The Blooming Beauty Network was born! The month of April was dedicated to building this network and they do say April Showers, brings May Flowers
